*The long route is a timed event and will receive medals and prizes.
*The short route is a non-timed fun run with no prizes, but all participants will receive a medal.
 
THE ROUTE
 
Long Route
Distance: Approx 12km

This trail run is a relatively challenging course that takes runners through the scenic vineyards and plantations of Lourensford Estate. The route is entirely off-road and offers a fair amount of climbing to test running enthusiasts of all skill levels.
 
Fun Run
Distance: Approx 6km
 
The shorter route is ideal for the upcoming trail runner, test your skills on this course.  This is a fun run with no times.
 
SEEDING
 
If you would like to be seeded for the long route, please e-mail your motivation to info@grandstandmanagement.com by March 17, 2010.
 
SHOWERS
 
Showers will be available for all participants, so bring a change of clothes and enjoy the day in Lourensford Wine Estate.
 
RESULTS
 
The Cape Times Lourensford Vineyard Run long route is a timed event and results will be made available on the race website after the event.

RULES
1.       No refunds. No substitutions. No exceptions.
2.       Minimum age on race day is 15 years.
3.       Participants must obey the instructions of marshals and officials at all times.
4.       No seconding is permitted on the route. There will be one official water point at the 5km mark.
5.       Appropriate running attire must be worn at all times.
6.       No littering or damage to the environment will be tolerated.
7.       Participants younger than 18 years on race day will require a legal guardian to accompany them when collecting their start number.
8.       Any ruling by the race organisers is considered final.
9.       Cut-off time: 2 hours
10.      All participants will sign a waiver at registration.
